Every day, educators invest countless hours teaching students the knowledge and skills they need to succeed.

But even the best instruction can only go so far if students don't see the value in their education or believe their choices matter.

That's why schools invite me to speak.

I help students connect today's decisions with tomorrow's opportunities. Through engaging stories, practical insights, and honest conversations, students begin to see that their future isn't something that happens to them—it's something they're creating right now.

My goal isn't to give students a temporary boost of inspiration.

It's to challenge them to think differently.

When students understand their purpose, recognize their potential, and take ownership of their choices, they become more engaged in school, more invested in their future, and more willing to do the work required for success.

For more than 24 years, I've partnered with schools to support the work educators are already doing.

My presentations reinforce the messages teachers and administrators want students to hear:

  • You are capable of more than you think.

  • Success starts with the decisions you make today.

When students begin believing those truths, classrooms become more productive, school culture becomes stronger, and students become better prepared for life beyond graduation.

The approach I use when addressing students about their decisions is to teach them “toward” something instead of “away” from something.


Like you, my goal is to give them tools they need to reach their full potential, while also helping them understand how the decisions they make as teens can either positively or negatively impact their future.
